Hyderabad for Photography Enthusiasts!

If you're a photography enthusiast and are here in Hyderabad, you can carry your camera to some of these well-known as well as lesser-known places, where you would not have to pay too big of an entry fee.

I'm writing this post as there are many places in Hyderabad that are not very photography-friendly, wherein you cannot carry your cameras, or you will have to pay high entry fees in order to carry the cameras in their premises. The Botanical Gardens for example, will ask you to pay whopping INR 8,000/- as an upfront payment. And KBR National Park will not allow you to take your camera inside the premise, no matter how much you're willing to pay.

Ameenpur Lake (Village)

For people who love their bazooka telephoto lenses, this is the best place in the middle of the city that you can visit. The best time to reach there is 6:00 am. I have been there with my 210 mm telephoto lens and have managed to capture some very interesting pictures of the birds. You will find some of them posted here on this blog and on my Instagram account. Spare some time and check out my Instagram wall. During the winter, you get to see a nice sunrise here. Feel free to explore this place. There are no restrictions on the camera, and you don't have to pay anybody to carry your camera. This place is declared as a biodiversity. Be aware of snakes, as one of the notice boards says, there are poisonous snakes in the water.

Of course, you can also click on some nice portraits here.

Nehru Zoological Park

Guys, don't forget to carry your telephotos here, as this is probably one of the best zoos in all of India. For still cameras, you need to pay INR 100 to carry your camera inside the premises. Yep, there are white tigers, just to plant that seed of an idea in your heads. I've got a nice picture clicked of one of those white tigers here. Normal tigers look healthy as well.

The Financial District

One of India's best business areas here. You can just land on this place or have a two/wheeler or a cycle and wander you, I'm sure you can end up clicking some interesting long exposure shots and portrait shots here. This is one of my favorite places when it comes to cycling, and I always carry my camera along with me when I go cycling.

Qutb Shahi Tombs: One of the best places for portraits.

Fee for carrying a camera: INR 50

Let me tell you what makes this place so special for photography. Timeless Marvels Embodying Hyderabad's Rich Legacy. The tombs were commissioned by the Qutub Shahi kings themselves, who envisioned these mausoleums to be a symbol of their power, glory, and eternal legacy. Each tomb holds the mortal remains of a ruler and several members of the royal family, preserving their memory and perpetuating their historical significance.

Architectural Marvels: The Qutub Shahi Tombs encompass a collection of majestic structures, with each tomb showcasing its unique architectural brilliance. The tomb of Sultan Muhammad Qutb Shah, known for its exquisite dome and intricate detailing, is another architectural gem. Additionally, the tomb of Hayat Bakshi Begum, the influential wife of Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, showcases a distinct feminine touch in its design, reflecting the queen's artistic sensibilities.

Preserving Cultural Heritage: The Qutub Shahi Tombs bear witness to Hyderabad's vibrant past and are a testament to the region's diverse cultural heritage.  The Qutub Shahi Tombs remain an unparalleled treasure, reflecting the harmonious blend of cultures that shaped the Deccan region's history.

Golconda/Golconda Fort

Golconda Fort, a historic fortress located in Hyderabad, India. It served as the capital of the Golconda Sultanate and later the Qutub Shahi dynasty. The fort showcases a magnificent blend of Persian, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles, with impressive gateways, fortified walls, and exquisite palaces. Known for its association with diamond mines, Golconda was a center of the global diamond trade. Today, the fort is a popular tourist destination, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich history, opulent structures, and panoramic views of Hyderabad. Golconda Fort stands as a proud symbol of the region's heritage and continues to captivate with its architectural splendor.
